Pink Liberty is the brainchild of David Wilkinson and Danny Higham, two slightly sadistic and extremely twisted individuals, who when not out hunting Simon Cowell, love nothing more than playing, creating and listening to music. A fresh, new music site with all the usual stuff you'd expect such as news, reviews etc...

The main difference from your run of the mill music site is that Pink Liberty will seek the freshest music journalists and give them free reign to report to you the latest in the crazy world of UK Music. We're currently looking for music lovers from around the country to write for us, hunting them down whilst they sleep, attend gigs or even in public lavatories. There's simply no place we won't look for the next great music journalist.

Essentially we aim to deliver a music lovers guide to the UK music scene. Focusing mainly on Indie and Rock, we want to build a community in which every man and his dog can express his (or hers) opinion on the scene.

This blog has basically been created as a placemat for the forthcoming site, which we hope to launch sometime during 2008... In time for the festivals, all being well. In the meantime we'll probably use it to rant and rave about anything that annoys us and keep you informed on the progress of the site.

So, a little history lesson for you all. The founders originally met on Myspace, before creating a forum called Down In Albion. After a couple of years it became clear that Down In Albion had ran it's course, and the only way to progress with the site was to re-launch, expand and re-invent...

The name comes from a mix of the founders favourite bands - David, The Libertines & Danny, Pink Floyd - whilst everything else comes from drunken ideas and sleepless MSN conversations.

Expect drama, mayhem, controversy and the unexpected!
